COLLECTING AND CONSERVING OUR WATER SUPPLY
Pictured is the filtration unit for the Cistern system. The rain water is collected from the roof, filtered and treated, then stored in cisterns to provide all the water for the flushing of toilets and urinals, and for the irrigation.
ONE inch of rainwater will provide 30 days worth of water for flushing toilets and urinals, and for irrigation.
The holding tanks in the ground are mere septic tanks which are inexpensive
making this system very cost effective.
Low Flow Systems:
While the cistern system helps to conserve water by collecting rain water used for the flushing of toilets and urinals, dual flush toilets have also been installed to further conserve water.
